So much to Celebrate…So much to be thankful for!

This past month I celebrated my 50th Birthday,  graduated from IIN and became a health coach. Wow!

As I look back I realize this year has been an opportunity to learn, grow and celebrate all that I have to be thankful for.

So how do I feel? Well I certainly don’t feel 50!

As I begin this phase of my life the word preservation comes to mind. I want to enjoy these next years as much as possible and staying healthy has a lot to do with that. So the question I find I’m asking myself is what lifestyle changes am I willing to make to achieve this goal?

Well…with my new business and the focus of staying hydrated, it has become clearer to me that when we drink enough water our bodies perform better and we have better mental clarity. Let’s crowd out the beverages that contain caffeine, sugar, alcohol and other unnecessary chemicals with fruit infused water and green tea.

Trick or Treat!!!

Just today on Rachel Rae, Bob Harper’s 3 tips for recovering from Halloween Candy Binge is to restrict your calories the next day after Halloween,  drink 12 glasses of water to flush out the toxins and to eat lots of fiber the next day as well. Tonight I made a salad with cherry tomatoes and almonds and served it with roasted cauliflower over chick pea pasta. Yummy!!
